Very little to report today as we simply drove from LA up to Cambria although we couldn’t leave without visiting Swingers again, where the delightful and alluring Rachael took our picture. It was a 200 mile drive, made more entertaining by a few wrong turns (which we normally call ‘One of Mummy’s little adventures’, or in this case, Daddy’s and Mummy’s) plus Bill playing his guitar (with amp!) in the back so we could have a Beatles classics sing-along session. While driving, we also saw a lady driving along (number plate, AGNES) with a blow-up doll dressed as a man in the back. Maybe it reminded her of her recently deceased husband, or maybe she thought it would put car-jackers off - either way, it was pretty weird. I also saw two shops next to each other: Wigs and Toupes and then next door, a gun shop.
On arriving in Cambria, we spotted a whale out to sea, except it was a large rock pretending to be a whale; I wonder how many Cambrians get up every morning and go “Crikey! A whale...no, it’s just that damn rock again”. Possibly only the under-4’s. Plus me. Tim claims he saw a dolphin yesterday but maybe that was also a rock...
It is considerably cooler up here (climate-wise) and when we left the Moonstone Grill last night, the lady said ‘Stay warm now’
LA it ain’t. It's charming though and we are staying in a Motel by the sea, called The Fogcatcher Inn.
